Driveway & Paving Cleaning in Stilbaai
The driveway and the paving around the pool are the first things you walk on when you arrive, and after months of shade, dew and wind-blown sand they're green, gritty and slippery. We clean paving properly, pre-treat oil stains and leave the pool surround safe underfoot for the holidays.
Green, gritty and slippery
Paving in the shade of a wall or a tree stays damp after dew, and in a coastal climate algae takes hold within weeks. On a house nobody walks around for months, nothing scuffs it off either. By December the shaded side of the driveway, the path to the front door and the stones around the pool can be green and slick. With children and guests running around a pool, that is a safety problem, not just a looks one.
Sand is the other issue. The wind carries it into every corner of the paving, where it mixes with salt and plant matter and packs into the joints. Weeds follow.
Oil, rust and trailer marks
Coastal driveways collect their own kind of stains: oil drips from cars and boat engines, rust marks where a trailer or a gas bottle has stood, and dark rings under pot plants. Oil and rust sink into porous concrete, which is why a brush and a hose don't shift them. We pre-treat those marks and let the treatment work before we wash, and we'll tell you before we start which marks will come out completely and which will only fade.
How we clean paving
Paving is one place where high pressure is the right tool. We use a rotary surface cleaner on the main areas, which gives an even finish without stripes and keeps the dirty water off your walls and windows. Edges, steps and corners are done by hand. Where washing loosens the jointing sand on block paving, we top it up.
Is sealing worth it on a holiday house?
Often, yes. A sealer fills the pores of the paving, so algae, oil and salt sit on top instead of soaking in. On a house that stands empty for months, that keeps the paving cleaner for longer between visits and makes the next clean quicker. Sealing is quoted separately, and we'll tell you if your paving isn't a good candidate for it.
Pricing
Driveway cleaning starts from R850 for an average driveway, and most come to R1,200 to R2,200. Patios and pool surrounds are priced by area. Paving and the pool surround are part of our Arrival Ready packages.

Do I need to be there?
No. We need an outside tap and a plug point. If the water or electricity is switched off while you're away, tell us when you book so we can plan around it.
Will pressure washing damage my paving?
Not with a surface cleaner and the right pressure. We pre-treat heavy stains instead of turning the pressure up, which is what erodes pavers and blows out the joint sand.
Can you clean the pool surround?
Yes, and it's part of our Full Arrival Ready package. We keep the wash water out of the pool.
Do you remove weeds from the paving?
Moss and loose weeds wash out of the joints as part of the clean. Deep-rooted weeds are best treated separately, and we'll point them out.
